EA-40® Transparent Laminating Epoxy Adhesive

EA-40 Clear Epoxy is een ongevulde, lage viscoset epoxy lijm die gemakkelijk kanworden verspreid in dunne films die bijna transparant zijn na uitharding. Mengverhouding 1:1 in volume. Bij gemengde 2A: 1B in volume, zal EA-40 grotere hittebestendigheid en verbeterde fysische eigenschappen bereiken.

EA-40 is veelzijdig en kan gebruikt worden voor vele verschillende assemblage en reparatie toepassingen, variërend van elektrische oppotten tot de montage van sieraden en het herstellen van sanitaire voorzieningen. Boog makers hebben de EA-40 leren kennen als een enorme goede lamineer hars. EA-40 biedt u een zeer vochtbestendig verbindingen.

Instructions

A clean, dry surface is a necessary prerequisite for adhesive bonding. Adhesives will stick to either the surface of which a bond is desired or to that film of extraneous material directly on that surface. Rarely can a structural adhesive penetrate through surface contaminants to provide an optimum bond on an unclean surface.

Porous materials are simple to bond, provided they are dry. The surface should be sanded till clean and free from dust. Non-porous surfaces, such as found on metal and plastic materials, should be degreased, dried and roughened by sanding, sandblasting or chemical etching. The etched or sandblasted surfaces should be covered within a few hours of treatment to prevent contamination.

Handlers should wear clean cotton gloves to prevent body oils from contaminating the clean surfaces.

Epoxy adhesives do not perform well on metals such as nickel, chromium, tin or zinc nor on soft thermoplastics like polyethylene.

Because no two applications are quite the same, a small test application to determine suitability for your project is recommended if performance of this material is in question.

MEASURING & MIXING - Measure equal amounts of Parts A and B (or 2A:1B) by volume into a clean mixing container. Mixing tools and containers should be clean and made of metal, glass or plastic. After dispensing required amount of Parts A and B into mixing container, mix thoroughly for 3 minutes making sure that you scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container several times.

Application - Apply to prepared surface and let cure for 24 hours. Applying mild heat will cure EA-40® faster – 150°F/65°C for 6 hours.

Post Curing - After EA-40® has cured at room temperature, heating the epoxy to 150° F (65° C) for 4 to 8 hours will increase physical properties and performance. Let cool to room temp. before moving bonded substrates, machining, etc.

To Attain Maximum Heat Distortion Temperature - let cure for 24 hours at room temperature, heat cure for 2 hours at 250°F (122°C).

At mix ratio 1A:1B – HDT will be 163°F (73°C).

At mix ratio 2A:1B – HDT will be 217° F (103 °C)

Safety - Use in a properly ventilated area (“room size” ventilation). Wear safety glasses, long sleeves and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk.

Store and use material at room temperature (73°F/23°C). This product has a limited shelf life and should be used as soon as possible.


Metalset® A4 Aluminum Filled Epoxy Adhesive

Metalset A4 ® is een krachtige epoxy lijm die al jaren gebruikt wordt door alle takken van het Amerikaanse leger, evenals iedere grote luchtvaartmaatschappij en autofabrikant in de wereld. A4 wordt gebruikt voor honderden industriële lijm toepassingen en biedt een uitstekende hechting op poreuze of niet-poreuze oppervlakken. Het kan worden toegepast op verticale oppervlakken zonder uitzakken en hard in 8 uur uit met verwaarloosbare krimp.

Eenmaal uitgehard, A4 biedt goede machinale kwaliteiten (schuren, boren, tappen), en is bestand tegen alkaliën, verdunde zuren en oplosmiddelen. Smooth-On MT13

Smooth-On MT-13 ® is een eersteklas epoxy voor toepassingen die een maximale houdkracht en waterbestendigheid nodig hebben. MT-13 is een twee-componenten epoxylijm cement die moet worden gemengd in gelijke volumedelen (100A/123Bop gewicht) en binnen een paar uur gelleerd. Het ontwikkelt zijn volle hechtkracht in 16 uur en hecht zeer goed op zowel poreuze als niet-poreuze ondergronden. MT-13 wordt veel gebruikt door de pleziervaart industrie voor assemblage en algemene reparatie.

The practical spreading rate depends on a number of variables, such as: shape and size of object to be painted, the condition and profile of the substrate, the method of application, climatologic conditions and skill of labour.

SUBSTRATE CONDITION AND TEMPERATURE
Wood : clean and dry, free from any contamination and loose particles, moisture content maximum 12%, pre-treated with Variopox Injection resin and/or Variopox Impregnating resin and sanded with grit paper P120;
Metals : clean and dry, free from oil, grease, contamination and loose particles, pre-treated with IJmopox ZF primer and sanded with grit paper P120;
Concrete: clean and dry, free from any contamination and loose particles, moisture content maximum 4%, pre-treated with Variopox Injection resin;

Smooth-On Super Instant Epoxy Adhesive

Smooth-On Super Instant ® Epoxy is een twee componenten, heldere lijm die speciaal is ontworpen voor een snelle hechting. Info Variobond

Variobond is een druipvrije epoxy pasta, vrij van oplosmiddelen met een polyamine addukt als verharder.

VOORNAAMSTE KENMERKEN EN GEBRUIKSDOEL
• Toe te passen voor het duurzaam verlijmen van diverse materialen zoals hout, staal, aluminium,
kunststoffen en diverse soorten natuursteen of combinaties hiervan;

Variobond in doseerkoker
• Variobond is leverbaar in een doseerkoker. Deze doseerkoker bevat beide componenten. Met
behulp van een standaard kitpistool worden beide componenten in de juiste hoeveelheid
gedoseerd. Meng daarna de twee componenten homogeen met een plamuurmes.
• Bij het eerste gebruik adviseren wij de eerste paar centimeter van het gedoseerde materiaal
niet te gebruiken.
• Gebruik een kitpistool van goede kwaliteit. Verwijder nooit de zwarte schijf uit de koker. Deze
schijf zorgt voor een soepele dosering van beide componenten.

MIXING AND APPLYING...

Measure equal amounts of Parts A and B (or 100A:123B by weight) and mix thoroughly for 3 minutes to a uniform color (no streaks). Apply to prepared surface at a thickness of 1/32” - 1/16” (0.08cm - 0.16cm). Fit other surface over epoxy and apply even pressure using clamps or weights until material cures.

CURING...
MT-13® will cure and reach handling strength in 16 hours at room temp. (73°F/23°C). Applying uniform mild heat will cure epoxy faster–150°F/65°C for 4 hours. Let cool to room temperature before moving bonded substrates.

After dispensing required amount of Parts A and B into mixing container, mix thoroughly making sure that you scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container several times.


Instructions

A clean, dry surface is essential for successful adhesive bonding. Porous materials are simple to bond, provided they are dry. The surface should be sanded till clean followed by wiping surface with solvent (acetone, MEK, mineral spirits). Let solvent evaporate fully before applying A4.

Non-porous surfaces (metals, plastics, coated woods) should be sanded, sandblasted or chemically etched. If sanding or sandblasting, follow with solvent wash. Let solvent evaporate fully before applying A4. Epoxy adhesives do not perform well on metals such as nickel, chromium, tin or zinc or on soft thermoplastics like polyethylene. An option would be to try a polyurethane adhesive (such as URE-BOND® from Smooth-On).

Because no two applications are quite the same, a small test application to determine suitability for your project is recommended if performance of this material is in question.

MEASURING, MIXING, APPLYING...
Metalset™ A4 is mixed one part A to one part B by weight or volume. If dispensing from tubes, squeeze out equal amounts from each tube. Try to be as accurate as possible. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes to a uniform grey color (no streaks) and apply to prepared surface at a thickness of 1/32” - 1/16” (0.08cm - 0.16cm). Fit other surface over epoxy and apply even pressure using clamps or weights. Handling time is 4 hours. Full cure is 16 hours.

CURING...
Metalset™ A4 will cure in 16 hours at room temp. (73°F/23°C). Applying mild heat will cure A4 faster–150°F/65°C for 2 hours.
