SO-Strong Color Tints for Urethane Rubber, Plastic, and Foam

SO-Strong liquid urethane colorants can be added to any Smooth-On liquid urethane rubber, urethane plastic or urethane foam (do not use with Smooth-On silicones). They can be used to create a variety of color effects for a wide range of material applications. For glowing fluorescent color effects, use Ignite colorants.

The NEW SO-Strong 9 pack gives you the opportunity to experience each color without spending a lot of money.

SO-Strong colorants are highly concentrated, offer excellent dispersion and consistent color. A very small amount will color a proportionally large amount of liquid urethane material. The more you add in proportion to the volume of liquid urethane, the more dramatic the color effect. Recommended loading range is .01% to 3% of total system weight. Do not overload the liquid urethane system or cure inhibition / oozing may occur. If this is your first time adding color to a urethane system, it is recommended that you test the color effect by adding a few drops to a small amount of material and observe the outcome

Ignite Fluorescent Color Pigments

The Ignite line of liquid fluorescent colorants is compatible with Smooth-On urethane rubbers, urethane plastics, urethane foams (rigid and flexible) and silicones. The fluorescent or "glow" effect is maximized under ultra-violet light or "black light." The most dramatic color effect is realized when an Ignite colorant is used with a clear or translucent urethane rubber (such as Clear Flex 50) or plastic (such as Smooth-Cast 325).

The NEW Ignite 9 pack gives you the opportunity to experience each color without spending a lot of money.

What Makes Castings Made With Ignite® Pigments Appear To Glow? When you add Ignite fluorescent color to a urethane material, more ultraviolet light from the cured material is visible to your eye vs. castings made with SO Strong colorants. The casting appears brighter in ambient light and appears to glow under ultraviolet light.

Technical Bulletin & Color Chart

CRYPTOLYTE is not a colorant, but a UV "glow" additive that can be mixed with silicone rubber as well as urethane rubber, plastics and foams. Cured material will show no difference under ambient light, but will glow bright blue under ultraviolet light.

Sun Devil - UV Resistant Additive

A one component liquid additive that will slow color change and physical degradation due to UV exposure for many Smooth-On liquid urethane products. Results will vary and will depend on intensity and duration of exposure to UV light to the cured material. Please read the Technical Bulletin for more information. Safety first! consult the product MSDS
